I like video games! I spend a lot of my free time playing video games competitively. The same drive to improve and compete in math stays alive in my love of video games. Professionally, I am a programmer who likes to work at startups. My tutor resume is available upon request!
Experience
From grades 4 through 6, I was fortunate enough to be placed in a gifted mentorship program through my school district, which let me receive one-on-one tutoring in math in subjects a few years above my grade level. From 7th through 10th grades, I attended a special pure math program in my school district, taught by a passionate math teacher, who was also our competitive math coach. Afterwards, I studied advanced math at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, with the blessing of professors there. At the University of Michigan, I used my experience to teach math in various positions over all 4 years. I tutored, taught, and graded for students in math courses of all levels. I believe all of these experiences make me an excellent tutor, with a deep understanding of overcoming obstacles in learning and the true value of mentorship.
