Hello! My name is Shina, and I am a Science and mathematics tutor with 2 years of experience teaching students at various levels. I have always had a passion for mathematics, and I believe that every student has the potential to excel in this subject with the right guidance and support. Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to work with students of different ages and abilities, from elementary school to high school. I have helped my students develop a solid foundation in math, including basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Additionally, I have worked with students who require advanced math instruction, including calculus, statistics, and linear algebra. As a tutor, I take a personalized approach to teaching. I understand that each student has unique strengths and weaknesses, and I tailor my lessons to meet their individual needs. I use a variety of teaching methods to keep my students engaged and motivated, including hands-on activities, visual aids, and real-life examples. My ultimate goal as a mathematics tutor is to help my students develop a love for math and gain the confidence they need to succeed academically. Experience
Over the past two years, I have had the pleasure of working as a private tutor for children in grades 5, 6, 10, and high school in Canada. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I have learned so much from each of my students. In grade 5 and 6, I primarily focused on math and science. I found that many students in these grades struggled with understanding basic concepts, which could hinder their future success in these subjects. I worked with each student to identify their specific areas of weakness and developed individualized lesson plans to help them improve. Through patience and persistence, I was able to help my students not only improve their grades but also gain a newfound confidence in their abilities. When working with grade 10 students, I primarily tutored in biology and chemistry. At this level, the curriculum becomes more complex, and students need to have a solid understanding of foundational concepts to succeed. I worked with my students to break down complex topics into smaller, more manageable parts, and helped them develop effective study strategies to prepare for tests and exams. I also provided guidance on writing lab reports and research papers, which helped them improve their overall grades and academic performance. In high school, I worked with students in a variety of subjects, including English, history, and math. At this level, I found that many students were struggling with time management and study skills, which impacted their ability to succeed academically. I worked with each student to develop an individualized plan for managing their workload, and provided guidance on effective note-taking, reading comprehension, and study strategies. Through my tutoring sessions, I was able to help my students improve their grades and achieve their academic goals. Overall, my experience as a private tutor for grade 5, 6, 10, and high school students in Canada has been incredibly rewarding. It has allowed me to share my love of learning with others and help them achieve their academic goals.
