Since you have a statement for the value of x (x=-3y+4) you can take it and substitute it/ replace it for x in the second equation (just like if you copy and replace in a document) That looks like this: 6y+2(-3y+4)=8. Time to clean things up. Distribute the 2 to the replacement for x, now it looks like 6y-6y+8=8. Oh no, all the y variables cancel out and one is left with 8=8, which is always true. If one were to graph the two lines, they turn out to be the *same* line, so all (an infinite number) of answers are true.
