Hi Tatiana,
I would love to help you with your inequality and other trigonometry problems. First, with inequalities you need to pay attention to whether the words in the problem mean “up to and including” some amount or “ less that” some amount. In this case the contains “a maximum of” which is the same as “up to and including.” So the problem can be restated such that the total of x and y is up to and including 30. As an equation, this is x+y is up to and including 30. This is indicated by x+y and the the symbol < with a line under it and 30. Hope that helps. Feel free to call or email me if you have any further questions!
