Hi, I’m Lexi, and I'm passionate about education and helping kids fulfill their academic goals. I love being around kids, and helping them reach their maximum potential. Over my high school career, I've started a club at a local elementary school to help them learn more about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and every summer, I work at CEO of My Life, a company that teaches students entrepreneurship and how to build their own company. I've always been passionate about shaping kids into young leaders and innovators, and seeing them blossom is what I enjoy most about the work that I do.
Experience
In the past, I worked effectively with students with diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds. I explained complex concepts using easy-to-understand terms and met with students ages five through 10. I have a brother in the second grade, who always asks me for help with his homework, so I am familiar with what elementary school-age students are learning right now and how to guide them through their learning. As a high school student, I'm comfortable with various concepts within Calculus and Algebra, along with basic/middle school math. Currently, I'm taking AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB. Furthermore, I scored a perfect score on both Advanced Placement English exams last year (AP Literature and AP Language), and achieved a 34 out of 36 on the reading section of the ACT.
