My name is Delmar Wilson and I currently a mathematics teacher at Miami Springs Senior High. I also coach the boys basketball program at the high school where I have been very successful at turning boys into men preparing them for the real-world.
Experience
My experience with mathematics begins in 2005 when I was given the opportunity to teach at Miami Springs Senior High. My first year I was given both the lowest 25% of the students in 9th grade mathematics as well as Geometry Honors, Geometry regular and Algebra 1. During my first year I was able to push 70% of the lowest 25% to pass their FCAT Math test as well as help almost 70% of my students pass the FCAT Math 10th grade which at that time was a graduation requirement. Since then I haven't looked back, doing the same for the students I have taught between the years of 2005 to now.
