Nicole S - Online Math Tutor
I love my new baby and most of my time is spent taking care of him, but when I do get the time, I do enjoy playing PS4 and binge watching series on Netflix. I love traveling and one day dream of taking my baby to all my favorite places, especially Japan which is full of amazing food and anime pop culture. One day I hope to move to a beautiful home near the beach side and learn to surf my worries away.
Experience
- I tutored different levels of college math for 2 years at Wright State University. I assisted students by reviewing class material, working on solutions to problems and also worked with them to develop important mathematical habits. - During that time, I was also a learning assistant. I helped facilitate small group discussions for algebra and trigonometry in class as well as coordinate instructional efforts with the professor to improve the performance of the students each semester. - I tutored 9th-12th grade students taking online courses at Jefferson Township high school. I provided teaching in addition to their online instructions in whatever subject they required; which included algebra, trigonometry, geometry and calculus. - I have also tutored in a 6th grade classroom at a Dayton Christian School. I helped students who needed extra reviewing of the class material as well as reviewed tests to help improve understanding with students who had lowers scores. - I also have 5 months experience as a volunteer teacher on a missions trip to Honduras. I created a student curriculum based on 3rd and 4th grade statistics and provided personal instruction in all subjects.
