There are no number to work with, but no matter. Take the given measurement and split it in half by dividing by 2 .1/4 is 1/2 of two parts, so split into two again, divide by 2 again.
For example, if AB is 24 cm long, divide by 1/2 = 12 cm, then divide by 1/2 again = 6 cm.
If you need to find the length of AB , take the difference (subtracting) B minus A, and then take the absolute value (make it positive).
For example, if A is at 3cm and B is at 15cm, then 15-3 = 12cm. Divide by 2 = 6 and divide again = 3 cm.
