Math Question: 4x+8y=20 and -4x+2y=-30 * (7,-1) (2,5) (0,2) i dont understand how to do this

You can then divide both sides by 10 to get y=-1. To find the x value you pick one of your original equations and substitute y=-1 into the equation. I will use the first one so 4x + 8(-1) = 20. Then 4x - 8 = 20. Now it is just a two step equation. Add 8 to both sides to get 4x = 28 then divide both sides by 4 to get x = 7
